A little about me
Hi, I’m Steve, and I’m a Celebrant based in Scotland.
I have worked as an actor for 40 years on Stage, TV and Voice Overs (which is my favourite). if you live in Scotland then no doubt you will seen my face all over the train stations, trains and ticketing machines.
I also run workshops in public speaking and I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world training and coaching people with their speeches, presentations and TED talks.
What do I do to relax you might ask. I make and sell Cyanotype pictures, which is one of the earliest forms of photography, I play my Bass guitar, i’m a huge Stranglers fan which is where my love of the Bass started, I follow my favourite football team - Liverpool - I’ve got the Tattoo to prove it. I love to travel, and spend a lot of time in France, one of my favourite countries.
Yes, all very nice but what about the Celebrancy and why is celebration so important to me? I’ve been married for almost 40 years and in that time I have celebrated the birth of two gorgeous daughters, been through family and friends bereavements and also suffered the pain of losing loved and cherished family pets including two cats and our beautiful dog Hamish. We celebrate what they gave us and what they continue to give us .
There is no single way to celebrate a marriage, renew your vows, mark a life or say goodbye. Your ceremony should feel like you — personal, genuine and completely your own.
My role is to listen, to understand to what matters to you and then bring my life experience to help you put your story into words and moments that you’ll remember.
